St. Bonaventure was open for the summer season on July 5th.for
the 9:00 a.m. Sunday Mass. We had a great attendance and all were very happy
to be back in our Country Church with our summer families, enjoying the
beautiful music provided by Mary Hanson, Laura Gallivan, Lori Young, Merri-
Lee Hanson and Anne O'Halloran.
With all the repairs to St. Bonaventure's we are very proud of its beauty inside the church, and the outside grounds and cemetery.
We were delighted with the announcement from Bishop Harris that Fr. Bill was to remain with us. With Fr. Bill having to spread his wings from St. Gertrude's to Nackawic, Canterbury and back again to Woodstock our summer Mass schedule had to finish early. Our congregation gives thanks to God for the opportunity of the weeks we had together having the pleasure of once again renewing friendships and making new ones with family members who come from far and away.

St. Joseph's Catholic Church sits majestically on a knoll in the center of
our community. Whether we drive by, stop to say a prayer or place flowers
on a family member's grave, this church is part of our Heritage. Mass is
only held in our church two or three times a year but enjoyed by everyone
who attends. Traditionally mass is held Newburg Day and New Year's Eve,
with perhaps another mass when we hold one of our meetings for the St. Joseph's Cemetery Association.
This Association was formed for the care and control of the graveyard and regular maintenance of the lawns. Many of the families that used to live here do not anymore, but their generosity makes the job we do very easy. All of our members are descendants of the original families that settled here and have people, that are very special to them, buried in the graveyard.
Any inquiries concerning St.Joseph's Church can be directed to St.Gertrude's Parish, 105 Union St., Woodstock NB E7M 2W4 or by e-mail stgert@nb.aibn.com. They will put you in contact with the appropriate people to address your concerns.
